Come In!

Come in.
Rest.
Pray.

Listen for the heartbeat of God.

In order to hear the silent heartbeat of God, we must first be silent ourselves. I find that it helps to remember to seek this silence and listen if I have an image to remind me. Images can be so evocative, I thought it would be interesting to offer images and share where they take our thoughts and prayers.

Let us focus on the image in silence and listen for the heartbeat of God.

(Please share your resulting reflections and prayers, if you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks.)

Advent

This is an update to the image that provided the impetus for this blog. We have now completed the Season of Advent, thus the candles of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love and the Christ candle are now lit.

The Advent Conspiracy

Okay, this is more about action than contemplation, but it leads to a more contemplative and relevant celebration of Advent and Christmas, so I’m going to give myself a pass on this one.

Check it out at Advent Conspiracy.

As we approach the winter solstice – the shortest day and longest night – what thoughts and prayers enter your mind as you consider the image above?
